Our Hemp is the Balm

Being in a body means experiencing many sensations. Some of them are amazing, and some of them can most euphemistically be described as… intense.

Becoming allies with your body means discovering what makes it feel authentically great. Regular movement and exercise are surefire ways to get there. Taking care of your body means supporting it to keep doing what feels great. That’s why we made our Relief Balm.

Formulated with 50mg of the highest quality hemp extract available, and boosted by an infusion of complementary, inflammation-taming, circulation-enhancing botanicals such as Turmeric, Cinnamon, Ginkgo Biloba, and Ashwagandha, it lives up to Alpine Provisons’ exacting standards for purity and effectiveness.

Here’s a closer look at Relief Balm’s key active ingredients, because once your mind knows how it works, your body is sure to follow.

CBD
CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is an active ingredient derived from the hemp plant.  In our Relief Balm, it is used to tame inflammation and help soothe aches and pains. Check out this article, published by Harvard Medical School on CBD’s benefits. Our CBD extract does not contain petrochemical-based solvents and achieves a potent, bio-available product with zero detectable THC levels. It is one of the few extracts in the world that is GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) Certified.

Ashwagandha
Ashwagandha is a powerful Ayruvedic herb. It is an adaptogen, meaning it is a nontoxic plant extract thought to increase the body's ability to resist the damaging effects of stress and promote or restore normal physiological functioning. Ashwagandha is beloved for its immune-boosting properties. There are many scientific studies reporting that it helps to significantly reduce arthritis and joint pain. Ashwagandha can be used both internally and externally.

Turmeric
Respected by both holistic and allopathic worlds of medicine, Turmeric is a wonder-root whose origins are from India. It helps reduce inflammation, enhance circulation, and even mitigate pain. It is a detoxifier, and is sometimes used in skincare, as it can calm breakouts and red, itchy skin.

Ginkgo Biloba
Loaded with antioxidants, Gingko Biloba is one of the original anti-aging herbs to be recognized by both western and alternative medicine. It helps soothe inflammation and arthritis, and is thought to improve circulation.

When to Use Relief Balm
While any time is good for our Balm, we particularly love it just after a warm Epsom salt bath on a day when we've been really active. It has a subtle, herbaceous scent, and its effects are immediately apparent. It absorbs quickly and, if you apply it after a bath and before bed, we just bet you will wake up in the morning feeling amazing.
