Plant a Flower

Happy National Plant a Flower Day! We love all things outside (gardening included), and the ecological benefits of planting flowers are many, including oxygenating the air, cleaning the soil (as long as you don’t use chemical fertilizers!), and encouraging pollinators, such as bees.
With that in mind, we’d like to introduce you to some friends of ours who not only offer plants you can’t find anywhere else, but also make flower recommendations according to your astrological sign and have several “plant therapists” on staff to help solve your gardening conundrums.
This gardening wonder-resource is called Plantgem. The founders are Willow King and Julie Carson, self-described “casual gardeners and fashion hounds, (who) set out to create a gardening store that suited their tastes.” The result is a breath of fresh air in the gardening world. Curated, on-trend, eco, unique, delightful packaging, on-point customer service — these women are offering the whole package.
Along with hard-to-find but easy-to-grow gems that previously haven’t been available to the home gardener, Plantgem also gives growing tips and other delightful information, such as how to dye fabric using plants.
What better way to celebrate the end of Winter than by planting some colorful gems in your outdoor spaces? Go get in the dirt (we’ve got just the thing to clean up with afterward).
